2D1N Mt. Bulusan Trek
Bulusan Volcano is an active volcano surrounded by verdant natural rainforest. It is just one of many Philippines volcanoes. Here you’ll encounter a variety of different plants, birds, and wild animals, which makes it a great area for trekking, with the help of one of the local guides. During such a trek, your guide may show you how to seek out edible mushrooms, fruits & berries, and other plants, which you can enjoy at one of your meals.
During the treks you will visit areas that the local government is re-foresting and you may be invited to assist by planting a tree. Before this region acquired the protection of becoming a national park, there was a lot of illegal logging on the slopes of Bulusan volcano. Today, the Bulusan rainforest is recovering and becoming an even more attractive and diverse eco-system.
